FREE oiled wildlife 8-hr HAZWOPER training course

There is a FREE oiled wildlife 8-hr HAZWOPER training course coming up in Port Angeles February 11th. In the event of a spill, to assist in response you most often need to have this license. As they have over the last several years the Olympic Peninsula Chapter The Surfrider Foundation is providing snacks and refreshments for the training in PA to support those taking these critical classes. OPC International Surfing Day Celebration June 17th!

The Olympic Peninsula Chapter’s International Surfing Day celebration is happening Friday, June 17th, from 6:30pm-9:30pm at Harbinger Winery in Port Angeles. Featuring live music from Buck Ellard, art, raffle, silent auction, delicious food, and tasty drinks this family friendly event is always a great celebration. Food will be dished up by local restaurant H2O with raffle and silent auction items coming from supporters such as Lib Tech,  Todd Fisher Surf Art, Next Door Gastropub, and more. Tickets are $20 a person, $10 for students with ASB card, and children under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the event or ahead of time. For any questions related to the event or to purchase tickets please contact the chapter.

OPC Offers Second Annual Scholarship

For the second consectuive year the Olympic Peninsula chapter will be sponsoring a college scholarship for a peninsula area high school senior.
