Come check out PA local, Alfredo Quarto, speak about his work with the Mangrove Action Project. He is Executive Director and Co-founder of this organization which focuses on partnering with mangrove forest communities, grassroots NGOs, researchers, and local governments to conserve and restore mangrove forests and related coastal ecosystems, while promoting community-based sustainable management of coastal resources.
We will also be providing updates on the LaFarage property, beach cleanups, Hazwoper trainings, International Surf Day, state and national Surfrider updates, and much more! *See attached agenda.

River & Ocean Film Festival
Date: April 19th, 2014
Where: Forks High School, Forks, Washington
Free admission. Doors open at 6 p.m. Films start at 7 p.m.
Enjoy film explorations of our rivers and oceans at the First Annual River & Ocean Film Festival at Forks High School on April 19. This event, held in conjunction with the RainFest River & Ocean Fair and the Washington Coast Clean-up, celebrates the freshwater and marine environments of the west end of the Olympic Peninsula. Short films from the Olympic Peninsula and beyond will highlight the beauty and opportunity of this region, as well as some of the issues faced by its marine and freshwater habitats and the human community. The event is free and open to all. The selected films are primarily shot in a documentary style and are family-friendly.
The Films will be shown at the Forks High School auditorium (around the back of the high school on the north side).
